WORLD PHARMACIST DAY HISTORY

The International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) established World Pharmacist Day in 2009 in Istanbul, Turkey. They chose September 25th because on this day in 1912 the FIP was founded. Each year there is a theme announced for World Pharmacist Day. Those in the industry promote the themes world wide. These themes help pharmacists put together national campaigns that showcase their work.

On the occasion of world pharmacist day under the theme of ”Pharmacy united in action for a healthier world ” Pharmacist Day 2022 was celebrated with tremendous joy by all staff as well as the students of the Institute At the beginning of the function Principal Dr. Dheeraj Jain presented Key notes and discussed various activities organized by the institute on the occasion of Pharmacist day. He explained he theme for this year of Pharmacist day i.e.“Pharmacy united in action for a healthier world

Dr. Dheeraj Jain discussed various facets of Pharmacy profession along with the responsibilities and challenges present in front of the Pharmacy professionals. He won the hearts of all audience with his special and typical way of interaction and at the same time informed about various strategies and policies adopted by India for promotion of generic drugs.

To celebrate the day’s various events like: – Quiz Competition Extempore Competition Health screening camp, Poster competition, & Display Board Decoration organized in the NMT Gujarati college of pharmacy campus. In First early morning session, on the same day, Students expressed their creative ideas through Quiz extempore Competition. Students showed great enthusiasm to be a part of health check up team and successfully accomplished their goal. The health check up camp covered various parameters like:- Blood pressure, BMI, height, weight, counselling on common disorder. The aim of organizing the health camp was to sensitize the students and make them more confident towards such activities so that they remain proactive when their family or friends ask them about health issues. It was an overwhelming feeling to witness students doing the preliminary checkups of more than 100 people

 The Winner students were honored by prize & certificate distributions The First prize of the Pharma Quiz won by Team 2 Mr.Abdul & Group, Second prize to Team 7 Mr.Dhruv patidar & group  and Third prize to Team 1 Mr. Vishal & group.

In Extempore competition was won by  Ms.Pooja Sawale who secured First, Ms.Himanshi Mourya secured Second and Ms.Sakshi Malviya secured Third place.

Second Day session witnessed the artistic effort by the students in the form of posters. poster making competition was organized for the students. In the poster competition teams participated and the winners were screened on the basis of a strong verbal debate on the theme. Ms. Mantasha & Ms. Muskan stood First. Ms. Tanvi & Mr.Labhanshu achieved the Second position & lastly, Mr.Samarth Singh Chouhan was on the Third Position. The event was successfully completed under the guidance of Dr. Dheeraj Jain (Principal NMTGCOP).

In Display Board Decoration completion Mr.Rahul, Mr.Jhankar & Mr.Nitesh stood First, Ms.Minal & Ms.Kalyani Second and Third by Ms.Nikita Varfa.

Second day of world Pharmacist Day celebration  happy ended with lunch for all students and staff. We are very thankful to Shri Pankaj Bhai Sanghavi, Hon. Gen. secretary Shri Gujarati Samaj, indore and Shri Rajesh Bhai Vyas chairman, NMT Gujarati College of Pharmacy, Indore for motivation towards this successful event.

Least but not last I am very thankful to Our Teaching Staff Mr.Anand Birthare, Ms Nidhi Bais, Mr Deepak Shrivastav, Mrs.Rashmi Rathore, Mr.Navin Sainy, Mrs.Ankita Dubey, Mrs Rinku Dhakad, Ms.Saloni Chaurasiya,  Mrs Kavita Upadhyay, Mrs Paridhi Jaiswal and Mrs Varsha Gupta for utmost support and without them imagination of these events was not possible so i am really very thankful to them.
